You can reach Salli Point, in a short walk along the beach towards the North end of Uppuveli beach. You can also reach this place in around 4 km distance by road via NIllaveli or Pulmuddai road in around 10 minutes.
Salli point; as its name suggests, is nicely pointed to the sea and creates a magnificent view of the surroundings and the sea.

How to reach Uppuveli Beach
Colombo to Trincomalee is a trip of 5 to 6 hours for a distance of 271 Km. You have many options to travel, either via bus, train, taxi or plane.
Once you reach the city, Uppuveli is located 6 km northwest of Trincomalee town and you can take a tuk tuk to the beach from the town. You have to take Uppuveli road and turn right at the Uppuveli MOH office to reach the beach.
Best time to visit Uppuveli
Best time to travel Trincomalee is between February to August. The city is ready to welcome the tourists during this time as it is considered the peak. Most shops, souvenir places and restaurants are open during this time. The monsoon season starts from October onwards.
One can spend a day walking along the beach while enjoying the beach bar vibe. The beach is indeed popular among the young tourists. Often, the young tourists enjoy extended tour days in Trinco for these reasons.
